Leader: Let us pray.
All: O Lord, creator redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the soul of your departed servant, Ron Anthony the remission of all his sins, that by the humble supplications of your church, he may obtain that pardon which he had always desired of your mercy. Grant this through our Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

FINAL PRAYER
LEADER: Family and Friends, let us think of God's living and loving presence in our midst here and now, let us think of our beloved Ron Anthony as still very much alive in another and happier life. To you, O God, our Father, we humbly commend our beloved Ron Anthony. In his mortal life on earth, you loved him a great love. Now that he has been freed from the sufferings, trials and evils of earth, grant that your mercy and goodness will bring him to your paradise, where there is no more grief, question nor temptation but only peace and joy with your Son and the Holy Spirit, forever and ever. AMEN.

ALL: Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, a gentle Father and God of comfort and joy, who comforts us in our sorrows and pains so that we can offer to others in their sorrows and pains the comfort we have received from God ourselves. Let us trust Him through his Son who invites us saying "come to me, all you who labor and are burdened and I will give you rest".

LEADER: Most merciful Father, into your hands we entrust the soul of our beloved Ron Anthony for we are sustained by the sure hope that he will rise again on the last day, the Resurrection, with all those who have died in Christ.

ALL: We give thanks for all the good things which you gave to your servant Ron Anthony during his mortal life as signs of your goodness and of your love for him and of the communion of saints in Christ. In your great, great mercy, O Lord, accept our prayer that the gates of paradise may now be opened to him. In our turn, may we be comforted by the words of faith until one day we hasten to meet Jesus Christ, where we may all be forever together, united with the Lord and with our loved ones.

LEADER: Dear Ron Anthony, may the angels lead you into paradise. May the martyrs and the saints await your coming and escort you to the Holy City. May the choirs of angels welcome you and with the poor Lazarus and all your dear ones, may you enjoy everlasting rest and happiness.

ALL: May our faith, which is our greatest treasure on earth, be now our consolations. May our belief in Jesus Christ be our guarantee of eternal life, for He has promised us, "I am the Resurrection and the Life; every person who believes in me shall live again; every living person who believes in me shall never die but shall possess everlasting life."

LEADER: O God, your days are without end. Your mercies are too many to count. Causes us never to forget that life on earth is very short and uncertain. Let your Holy Spirit guide us through this present life, giving justice and charity to people we meet from day to day, so that at the end, we may be accounted worthy to enter your eternal kingdom, our final home.
ALL: Amen.

LEADER:
(In a prayerful manner):
We picture death as coming to destroy,
Let us rather see it as Christ coming to save.
We think of death as an ending,
Rather, think of it as a New Beginning.
We think of death as losing,
Rather, think of it as winning, as final victory.
We think of death as parting,
Rather, think of it as an everlasting meeting of loved ones.
We think of death as going away,
Rather, think of it as arriving ... as "Home at Last!"
Death is not extinguishing the light; it is putting out the lamp. BECAUSE THE DAY, THE ETERNAL DAY HAS DAWNED.
So Lord, help us to see a Christian Death for what it really is.
The end of frustration and the beginning of fulfillment;
The end of fear and the beginning of peace;
The end of pains and hurts and the beginning of joy and love.

LEADER:
Help us to see that what we love becomes a part of us, interfused with our lives, blended with our minds and memories, hallowed forever within our souls. Let not our grief take away our happiness, nor bereavement blind us to what always remains good and lovely and indestructible.

ALL: O gracious Spirit of Peace, come alive within our experiences and hurts, within our sorrows and isolation, within our sadness of today and the loneliness of tomorrow. Come alive as the peace and trust which nothin in life nor death can kill. Cast out our fears and let not our hearts be troubled, knowing that this world remains Father's house.

LEADER: O God, our Father, from whom we came and to who we return, let us be convinced by the sight of death that it is the body which dies and corrupts. But the more important part of a person, his spirit and soul, by which he thinks and loves, is not touched by death and transfers to a new and endless life beyond the grave. So now, O Lord, make us believe that our beloved Ron Anthony is indeed just "departed" to a better world where at this moment he is alive, conscious and full of love for each of us and where he awaits our coming one by one.

ALL: Farewell dear Ron Anthony. Pray for us as we do for you, until we are together again and home at last, forever.

AMEN.
